I've compiled a list of 20 of my favorite DIY paper flower instructions here. You'll discover simple paper flowers (so simple that you could create them with your kids! ), enormous paper flowers, paper flower templates, and more. How to Make Paper Flowers All of the paper flower instructions I link to below are made using paper. Some people use regular printer paper or colorful cardstock, while others use crepe paper, tissue paper, or even coffee filters. I've included the kind of paper used in each flower lesson, as well as which ones have downloadable templates, below.

I wish I had photos to show you how lovely the stage was with all of the paper rose blooms that graced it. Everyone was pleading with me to teach them how to create them for weddings, birthday parties, bridal parties, and the list went on and on. These paper roses may be made for ANY occasion!
Print the templates on paper and cut out one of each kind of petal for tracing if you are cutting the flowers by hand. Trace the template over the paper you want to use for your flowers and cut out 8 petals of each size. If you are using a cutting tool, you will need 8 petals of each size (small, medium, and large) to produce a complete flower [if you wish to add a bud, you will also need four bud petals]. The petal templates are put out on an 8 12 × 11 picture canvas; you will need to modify the canvas and create copies for your cutting tool. As you get more acquainted with the procedure, you may experiment with using more or fewer petals. This guide will walk you through the basic construction procedure, which calls for 8 of each petal and includes the optional bud.
