The foot may be the most overlooked portion of the body, owing to the fact that it is sometimes buried under a shoe or simply placed outside the frame of the painting â out of sight and out of mind. This unfamiliarity, I believe, is what makes drawing feet so difficult when they do appear, since, as we'll see below, they have very plain shapes and very little motion.
