Angels may not be THE villain, or even "villains" in general (more like impediments), but as unfeeling, unreasoning engines of death, they are the Terminator multiplied by a billion. They were the first time I felt threatened by a fictitious foe. They were the first time a TV episode really awed me with a character's destructive power.
