Ben Schulz, a Denver-based gamer, portrays Leeroy Jenkins. He made the video with a bunch of his college mates for fun, not expecting it to become viral. Soon after, Schulz was contacted by Global Gaming League, who invited him to attend Blizzcon with them in 2006. Schulz delivered the keynote address at ROFLCon two years later, which he has been asked to speak at for the last three years. Westword, a local Denver news station, also questioned him about the video and its veracity.
