In India, Pinaki is the co-founder and CEO of Amp. Through its potent mix of utility size offsite grid linked open access and onsite distributed generation renewable power plants with a pan-India presence, Amp India has emerged as a pioneer in delivering a one-stop shop for C&I clients in a short period of time. Pinaki has over 19 years of expertise in renewable energy in India, the United States, and Europe, including positions in private equity, company incubation, leadership, operations, and finance. Prior to joining Amp, Pinaki was the CFO of Sterlite Power, India's largest transmission company. He was also a founding team member and CFO of one of India's biggest renewable IPPs (Sembcorp Green Infra), as well as a founding team member of the first renewable energy project equity fund in the United States, New Energy Capital. He oversaw IDFC Private Equity's biggest and most diverse renewable energy private equity portfolio, totaling USD 300 million. He has experience working throughout the value chain in both renewable and thermal power production at ALSTOM and the Shell-Bechtel joint venture, Intergen. He has a B.E. from Delhi College of Engineering and an MBA from Cornell University.
