Nesta rescued him by moving him away from the battlefield just before the Cauldron unleashed a bolt of power that killed several troops. Nesta waited outside Cassian's tent till she learned that he was going to be alright. When the King of Hybern gravely injures Cassian and is ready to murder them, Nesta refuses to leave him and shelters his body with her own, knowing that if one of them died, the other would die with them. Cassian kisses Nesta and expresses his want for more time. Cassian makes sexual approaches towards Nesta in Wings and Embers, asking whether she has ever been with a guy, which causes Nesta to recall almost being raped by a human called Tomas Mandray. Cassian senses Nesta's anguish and believes she had a horrible encounter with a guy; he promises her he would track down the male if Nesta so desires.
This is a fanfiction based on Sarah J Maas's A Court of Silver Flames. She owns all of the characters. This scenario is supposed to take place after Nesta had seen Cassian and Azriel battle in the training pit in Chapter 23. There is mature/explicit sexual stuff in this. I just wanted to mention how fantastic it is that we can talk about Elriel and Gwynriel under this hashtag (#incorrectAcotarquotes) without being at one other's throats. To be honest, it is the one area where I see respect for all sides, and I believe others should follow suit. I like being able to appreciate Gwynriels' false remarks about Nessian, IC, or the Valkyries. It's comparable to Okay, this isn't about Gwynriel, and it's hilarious; I adore it.
