Saiko remains by his side while he lies in a coma, remaining until she falls asleep. She bursts into tears of excitement upon his waking, and the two hug. Their professional relationship was tense, with the other detective making no attempt to disguise his dislike for Sasaki. Despite being aware of Shimoguchi's disdain for him, Sasaki handled him with courtesy and professionalism. Shimoguchi, on the other hand, did not hesitate to humiliate Sasaki whenever the opportunity arose. Sasaki carried out these measures with little reaction, trying his utmost to appear professional and pleasant. However, when he returned home, he communicated his displeasure with the other guy and looked forward to the opportunity to humiliate him. However, once Shimoguchi lost his team, Sasaki was quick to express his sympathies to him.
