That was, after all, my immediate response. But there are other aspects of SM that the nine tails chakra mode cannot match. As an example, consider SM detecting abilities. I don't believe Naruto could have destroyed the third Raikage without the help of SM. I doubt he could have countered the devil thrust with chakra mode. He also possesses frog kata, which cannot be detected unless you are also in SM, so there's that. But I'd go with the chakra cloak as well. Aside from the two SM methods stated, the chakra mode can perform anything SM does, but on a far bigger scale. Higher speed, identical strength (I would guess), and the ability to spam all of Naruto's ninjutsu (whereas SM has a limit). There are also chakra arms and the fact that chakra mode lasts longer than SM. So, unless Naruto has some shadow clones ready, there will be problems. Not to mention that there are two identical mentalities in this conflict, thus I suppose it's only natural for the overall more skillful one to prevail.
