24 years old Octavio Silva was bored one day. In truth, he was bored much of the time. Heir to Silva Pharmaceuticals' distracted CEOs, he amused himself by executing death-defying acts and broadcasting holovids of them for his followers to gaze over. So he planned to create a course record for a neighboring Gauntlet by propelling himself over the finish line with a grenade on this particular day. Hours later, as he lay in triage, the doctors told him that the damage to his legs meant his daredevil days were gone. That didn't sit well with Octavio, so he sought assistance from an old friend: Ajay Che, whom he guilted into fabricating an order to replace his legs with bionic ones. Octavio, now able to reattach his limbs at a moments notice, decided that petty internet pranks werent enough: the Apex Games, the ultimate adrenaline high, were beckoning. He's about to become an Apex Champion by doing the most spectacular, death-defying maneuvers anybody has ever seen. Maybe he won't be so bored in the arena.
