WandaVision episode 9 sees Scarlet Witch finally donning the movie version of her comic book outfit for real, but how does the final MCU appearance compare to its comic book origin? The Disney+ series finale involves a clash between Scarlet Witch and Agatha Harkness, during which Wanda manipulates reality and beats Agatha while dressed as a superhero. Wanda initially appears with an energy crown on her forehead, and then she uses her abilities to dress herself in an MCU version of the classic Scarlet Witch attire from the comics. Fans anxiously await the integration of Marvel Comics outfits into the MCU and actively monitor their growth. Tony Stark's evolution of the Iron Man suit from Mark 1 to Mark 42 and beyond is one example. In the past, the outfits of Marvel superheroes as depicted on the big screen have been part of subplots and comments in both canon MCU movies and other Marvel adaptations, such as the evolution of Captain America's costume from stage performer to superhero, and Cyclops's riposte to Wolverine's critiques of the team's uniforms in X-Men: "What would you prefer, yellow spandex?"

WandaVision leads right into the aforementioned Multiverse of Madness, where Olsen's Scarlet Witch will co-star with Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange. Scarlet Witch's big costume reveal was the first time in a long time that I found myself getting enthusiastic about clothing. I've spent the past year dressed in sweats, cotton shirts, and baggy hoodies, much like Wanda in the Modern Family-esque episode. I've been at ease, but I haven't felt really myself. Scarlet Witch's big reveal was more than simply a fun and quirky tribute to her comic book background; it was a reflection of how much our clothing reveals about how we identify ourselves. Wanda has spent the whole of WandaVision disguised as the ladies she admires. She transforms into herself when she dons the red and black armor. She transforms into the Scarlet Witch. There were a number of things about the WandaVision finale that I didn't enjoy. I'm disappointed we never found out who Jimmy Woo (Randall Park) was there to check up on in the Witness Protection Program. I despised Wanda's ability to abuse the inhabitants of Westview without consequence. I can't wait to find out what happened to Seor Scratchy! However, I have no concerns with the Scarlet Witch's new attire.
