Brenda (or another friend of Cindy's called Brenda) appears alive and working as a reporter. She aids Cindy and Tom in their struggle against the alien invaders, and subsequently has sex with one of the aliens, who contracts a sexually transmitted illness that annihilates their species. She finally becomes pregnant and gives birth to a half-human child with extraterrestrial DNA.
