Mecha was a pleasant surprise, but I doubt it was the final design. What troubles me the most is the super-tight waist. I would have purchased it right away. Mecha is my favorite. I have the 1974 MonsterArts release of Mecha. It's fantastic. I'm very disappointed. It will be an eternity before another Mecha design is created for a release like this. That is something I second. Mine arrived in excellent shape, looks fantastic, and I'm delighted to report that this lot seems to have a better paint job on the mouth than the original batch that was mailed out. It's too bad it doesn't have the Atomic Breath effect. That is really inexcusable. It only comes with two alternative hands. Articulation is fantastic, the paint isn't sloppy at all, and the joints operate normally with an appropriate range of motion. This makes me very pleased. I had to wait about 12 days for it to come, but it was well worth the wait since I got it at the original retail price with free shipping instead of the $120 most sites are charging right now. Any SHMA collector who like Godzilla should have this. This item is incredibly stunning, and I'm thrilled to have it in my collection. Amazon deserves credit for actually sending it to me in good condition. THIS IS NOT A TOY, DO NOT BUY IT FOR YOUR CHILDREN!
Tamashii Nations US has released a product page for the forthcoming Godzilla vs. Kong S.H. MonsterArts Mechagodzilla Figure. The figure is somewhat less than 7.5 feet tall. In certain regions, diecast metal joints are used for stability and weight. Mechagodzilla comes with two sets of interchangeable hands. The figure is scheduled to be released in December.
