Among us is an online game with a multiplayer element. InnerSloth created it in 2018 for Android, iOS, and Windows. However, the game did not become famous until 2020, when it began to be streamed on Twitch and Youtube. The game's principle is that participants are randomly assigned to one of two teams: Crewmates or Imposters. The Crewmates' aim is to identify all of the Imposters, while the Imposters' goal is to surreptitiously sabotage and murder the Crewmates before they finish all of their assignments. Players accused of being Impostors may be removed by a majority vote; even if the player was not an Imposter, he is ousted and continues the game as a Ghost. Crewmates win if they locate all of the imposters or accomplish all of the ship's missions. If the Imposters murder all of the Crewmates or if a crucial sabotage goes undetected, they win.
