However, you can use it to easily add highlights and other details to your charcoal drawing, and it is a terrific tool to have. You may also use white charcoal pencils. We have charcoal pencils, and I have two of them: a 2b and a 6b. I'm going to start with to demonstrate the difference a 2b makes.
Smooth or textured drawing sheets are often used. Smooth papers may be used for simple pencil drawings, while textured papers are great for shading since they allow you to employ a broad variety of hues. As your ability improves, working on textured papers becomes more important since you can bring your artistic imagination to a new level and turn it into reality using paper and pencil.
